Our Story
The emotion behind Caravaggio comes from my dedication of this brand to my husband. Our commitment to marriage was the reason why I began designing bridal-wear, and though it was originally for myself, I’ve found the greatest fulfillment in helping other brides choose the most special pieces to wear on their wedding days. My husband’s Nonni (grandparents) played an incredibly significant role in our relationship, and have influenced our lives in all aspects - from the traditions we practice, to the food we eat, and the languages we speak... their roots have grown into our lives, and now the lives of our children. As an homage to their love, and recognition of their hometown of Rocca San Giovanni, in Abruzzo, Italy, you’ll notice that much of the world of Caravaggio, that we invite you into, is depicted through imagery inspired by that small town that Nonno and Nonna Caravaggio said “I do” to each other in, almost three-quarters of a century ago. By continuing to share the Caravaggio name through these designs, I bring a modern perspective to an old European heritage, both in the sartorial techniques used to create these garments and veils, and creative aesthetic applied. As the Caravaggio label is sewn into each piece, I’m reminded that without the love shown to me by Marco, my life would simply not be what it is.
